Nudity: Not An Issue

It's an art. Err... The art of star-nakedness. Lol

Rather on nails, it's always a yes. I mean, nudes vary depending on you skin tone/color and undertone. See this.

It's deceiving which one looks just right on my skin color. Luckily, I belong to the neutral undertone family but still, some shades of nude doesn't fit well.

Pinkie: OPI Miso Happy With This Color --- Well, I'm NOT! From the formula, application and drying time. Maybe the color looks okay but in reality it's not. It has a touch of pink but darker than Samoan Sand. Rating: 1/5
Ring: OPI Bare It In Trafalgar Square --- A vhtf shade. Surprisingly for OPI, it's not a sheer! 2 coats will be fine. Hmmm, it's close and I'm considering it. Rating: 3.5/5
Middle: Essie Topless & Barefoot --- The right one (imo). Essie had never been bad with formula and I love this shade and I love love love Essie. I might get another bottle for this one. Rating: 5/5
Index: Orly Pure Porcelain --- Another vhtf color and surprise from Orly. Opaque in just 2 coats. Even the brush is not a problem (which is usually Orly's fail). If I will refer on my skin color, I wouldn't say it's porcelain. When close up (third picture), it looks just a little bright. I think this one and MAC Studio Sculpt NC15 has the same shade. Rating: 3.5/5
Thumb: Zoya Kennedy --- Confusing. I thought it's a foundation. Deceiving. It looks perfect in picture but in actuality, it shouts BEIGE. I love Zoya as I love Essie because their formula is excellent, except  Zoya's drying time. Rating: 4/5

This is how they look in their respective bottles:

Sweet Nail

Literal. As in sweet from the gustatory nerves! To be honest, it's always been a sweet failure. I mean, I am actually creating something that totally differs from the finish product. First, the roses nails that  turns out to cotton candy. Then this one. This is a chessboard.

Then again, I was told that it is a chocolate wrapper. The Limited Edition Hershey's Kisses Marshmallow Creme! Common denominator? Letter 'C' and 'sweets'. Alright, I'll take it as a compliment.  Oh btw, I use China Glaze Hi-Tek for the base and stamped with Essie Topless & Barefoot.

Woooo! Somehow convincing.

I am very excited over the things right now. My new lacquers (Hunger Games Edition et al.), sister's homecoming, Baccalaureate and Graduation, Summer Camp, Med school and more. I can foresee that I'll be busier than bees but let me enjoy the untaken days with you.

Chrome + Khrome

Boredom strikes me again and I tripped on my nails. Should I'll be getting those unopened, untested and forsaken.

The first lacquer, OPI Alpine Snow (matte). In the first place, it's not that I hate the mattified thing but the not-so-polisher-friendly formula. Secondly, when I learned about the mattifying top coat, the more it gave me the marbles. After a fashion and for the nails sake, I roughly forgo it.

I tried to make some effects what will transform the dullness to awesomeness.

Chrome. Yes! I pulled my two favorite chromes --- Missha HGR01 and China Glaze Hi-Tek. I mixed them literally over the stamping plate and... ta-da (above)!

Jeez. This is comely (despite some messes).  =)

Goin' Gaga

I'm so happy that my long wait is over!!! The delivery man arrive at early nine o'clock. Immediately I opened the parcel, rush to my room, grab my cam and took a quick capture without cleaning my bedding.

OMG, as in Oh-ehm-gee!

Firstly, I reshaped my nails for this. Uhm, it didn't look fierce (as I wanted it to be) 'cos my nails aren't long enough. I cannot make it exaggeratedly long like hers. Maybe I'll try again next time. *Smirks

The holo effect changes in different angles. Jaw-dropping. As usual, the formula is perfect as it is Deborah Lippmann. Price is quite to expensive. $45 sale to $29 but as I said, it's Deborah Lippmann. The black polish is creamy and not messy and that makes me say that I have no regrets on spending my moolah. Over-all, luuuuuurve it!

Day 7: Very Berries

How come I forgot about the berry? I assume that vampires love berries. What kind of berry? If hence, maybe they'll gonna love this one.

Uh-huh. Never seen any with this comparison. Vampy and berry and the same time. Credit for my friend's effort! Whew!

Taking pictures while Mr. Sun is oozing with hotness has never been this pleasing. This dark berry color was my choicest but I tried thrice because OPI made a not-so-polisher-friendly formula for this one. It looks gorgeous but too plain. So I decided to stamp it after three days.

OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees (4 coats), Orly Luxe

That's for the left hand. Here's for the right.

Just approving. Oh my, it's the seventh day and I'm so done!!! Yippee!

Day 6: Count Dracula

You'll find the relevance in the end of this post.

As the challenge ends, it took me hard, really hard to look for the vampy shades that won't bore my readers. Swatching for this time's color is twice as usual. It's like I qualm about the shade for the first time; I trust Scrangie's review. Maybe I'm not in the semblance but I have to give it a try.

Dark green. Cal Poly Pomona green. Hunter green. Crucial ABCs huh? See for yourself.

Makes me think of Zoya Envy and Essie Licorice. It's OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow from Spain Collection and OPI Silver Shatter. Four coats to achieve the genuine opaque finish.

So here's about Count Dracula. Early English folklore believes that green is known to have signified witchcraft, devilry and evil.  In 1927 Broadway stage production of Dracula , the main actor wore the green-hued make up.

Day 5: Oh, The Vlad (Blood)

I want to retract my statement saying "I'm not into reds". What made me say that? I bring off that I'm loving it to the levels of everyday! And Vlad confirms it.

Gosh, the shininess is tangible. The sun's and it's glim are competing who's to stand out. Are you now wondering what red is this? IMO, this is the sexiest red (so far) that kissed my nails.

OPI Red My Fortune Cookie (2 coats), OPI Opi Red (1 coat), Zoya Kimmy (1 coat)

My fifth installment for 7 days challenge. Two more to go and I'll be moving to the next!

Day 4: Moonlight

Oops! You're right. It's has something to do with Mick. Though I'm placid if really it is connected. I guess.

OPI Suzi Says Da!, China Glaze Hi-Tek
Windows open and directly under the sun

Learning is a process. It takes time. Not as splendid as a real half-moon, I okay. But  I love how it stuns me.

Exciting how a brown turns to wine. It looks violet/grape under cool lighting and turns to chocolate wine under the sun. Awesome-sauce!

I did this just in my right hand and I stop. Maybe I'll do it again next time; in a much better mood.

Just so you know, my lacquer (ChG Hi-Tek) spilled during application. It messed the floor; tiny splotches in my night stand and walls. Goodness.

And lastly, by the way, have you heard the word cruciverbalist? I just heard. No connection. Haha.

Day 3: Dracula's Royal Guest

Dressed in velvet or suede, in a stunning blue and glamour. That's royalty.

I wonder how lucky Dracula is to be visited by a royal Vlad, I mean blood; and how does their blood tastes.

Royal blood. Blood with royal. How on earth am I gonna do that? I'm rushing to meet my sister at lunch so here's what I end up about the "royal" thing.

OPI Russian Navy (suede) stamped with Essie Midnight Cami using Konad m57. No topcoat.
1st pic: Daytime w/o flash
2nd pic: Dawn w/o flash

I am fascinated. Precisely, I've seen some works, in fact, a lot of works similar to this but it's really different when it comes to your own work. I didn't try putting SV for it'll mess the royal effect of Russian Navy.

And just like a royal guest, here today, gone later; my NOTD didn't last for a day. Not even for six hours. It chipped extremely. *Sigh

Won't last a polish without Seche Vite.

In cinemas in 2030...

Day 2: Born To The Purple With Fangs

They have fangs. And they draw out blood.

Okay, I can't fantasize how am I gonna do this thing. I know just blood; like my patients' blood. Fairly being idiotic. Ha-ha!

Let me get the purple mani from my bin and a shining silver. I pick silver/metallic over glitters for the reason that hell freezes  over me me in removing it. I'll save it for Oscar's.

OPI I Brake For Manicures, OPI Your Royal Shine-ness

OPI never gives me a problem unlike Orly. Not in any way (so far). I love adoring it!

Let's take a zoom.

7-day Challenge: Vampirella's Diary

The very first challenge I dared myself to see if I'll give in or out. I have actually seen many of this many times from my favorite nail blogger and it envies me.

Inspired by the noted blood sucking characters from distinctive novels, I go ahead to my own creation of vampy nails for seven days.

Day 1: Folklore

These notions were from tales. Yea. Not to say so much about it because I might get killed. Ha-ha. Black; mostly their distinguishing color and is the afterthought in one's head upon hearing the worh Edward, I mean vampire.

Orly Black Vinyl, Orly Sea Gurl, Konad S6

Something is overlooked. Oh, the crest!

Have I mentioned that I love Jacob?
